Energy Trust of Oregon & Wattsmart Battery Incentives Now Stack

If you’ve been thinking about adding battery storage to your home or business, this is your moment.

Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO) and Pacific Power’s Wattsmart Battery Program incentives can now be stacked on the same battery project. That means more cash incentives, lower upfront costs, and faster payback, all while making your property more resilient and energy independent.

National Solar is a proud Energy Trust of Oregon trade ally solar installer, and we’re excited to help our customers take full advantage of this new opportunity.

What Changed?

Energy Trust of Oregon and Pacific Power have coordinated updates to the Wattsmart Battery Program terms and conditions so that:

  • ETO battery incentives
  • Wattsmart battery incentives

Can now both be applied to the same qualifying battery storage project.

This applies to:

  • Residential solar projects in Oregon for Pacific Power Customers & PGE Customers
  • Business and commercial-scale projects for Pacific Power Customers & PGE Customers

Wattsmart incentive levels are published on Pacific Power’s Wattsmart Battery Program website and can now be included directly in your National Solar proposal.

What This Means for You

By stacking ETO and Wattsmart incentives, you can:

  • Cut thousands off the cost of a battery storage system
  • Improve resilience during outages with backup power
  • Maximize your solar investment by storing extra energy instead of sending it all back to the grid
  • Support a cleaner, smarter grid by participating in utility-managed battery programs

When you work with National Solar, we’ll:

  • Confirm if your home or business is in Pacific Power territory
  • Design a battery + solar system that qualifies for both ETO and Wattsmart programs (where applicable)
  • Use only eligible battery systems that meet program requirements
  • Clearly explain how and when rebates are paid and what participation in the Wattsmart program looks like
